Part of a comprehensive safety and security plan is having an established crisis management plan. Anticipating situations and providing solutions prior to a crisis puts the power back in an individual's life.

SMC partners with the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) to provide training programs including preparedness training, dementia care and nonviolent crisis intervention.  

For more than 35 years, CPI has been helping schools, hospitals and other service organizations throughout the world create safer, more respectful work environments. This international training organization is committed to developing best practices and safe behavior management methods that focus on prevention.
